Summary
Cryptocurrency trading and exchanges are legal. The Payment Services Act (PSA) in Singapore states that cryptocurrency businesses must obtain a license from MAS to comply with anti-money laundering regulations. The Singapore Parliament passed a law in October 2022 that will require crypto businesses based in the city-state but only doing business overseas to be licensed. The new rule is part of the Financial Services and Markets Bill.
