No regulation regarding exchanges. South Africa’s "Intergovernmental Fintech Working Group" (IFWG) is working toward creating comprehensive cryptocurrency laws. The Financial Sector Conduct Authority declared crypto assets as financial products in a notice published in October 2022 and said it would require companies that trade in cryptocurrencies and other digital assets to obtain a license from 2023.
